Meeting with the RNDU delegation at the State Advertising Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan

A meeting was held with the delegation of the Retail Networks Development Union at the State Advertising Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by the Union's chairman Araz Imanov, representatives of member companies, Elmar Abasov, adviser to the chairman of the Agency's Board, and heads of relevant structural units.

During the discussions, an exchange of views was held on the reforms being implemented to regulate outdoor advertising activity in the country, the new technological solutions applied in this field, measures taken to increase transparency, and the adaptation of advertising infrastructure to modern requirements. In particular, information was provided on the digital registration of outdoor advertising media, technical control mechanisms, and work being done to improve the aesthetic appearance of the urban environment.

Representatives of the Retail Networks Development Union raised practical issues faced by large retail networks during advertising activity, including placement procedures, technical requirements, efficiency, the importance of a unified approach, and proposals for creating more flexible mechanisms for entrepreneurs.

The Union noted that the advertising opportunities of the retail sector — whose members cover thousands of trade outlets across the country, provide employment for nearly one hundred thousand citizens and serve millions of consumers every day — are an important element of economic activity, consumer information and the competitive environment. In this respect, efficient and predictable regulatory mechanisms in the outdoor advertising field are of particular importance.

At the meeting, strengthening state–private sector cooperation, continuing institutional dialogue and developing interaction mechanisms were considered important. The parties expressed agreement to continue relations towards further expanding cooperation in the future.
