The forum addresses digital security, the protection of information systems, the strengthening of cyber resilience, and the development of security mechanisms capable of responding to contemporary challenges.

The forum provided an opportunity to discuss the development of economic relations between the two countries, the strengthening of institutional ties, and import opportunities for retail networks.

Recognised as one of Europe’s leading platforms for retail innovation, the event brought together industry leaders, technology providers and retail professionals to showcase the latest developments in artificial intelligence, omnichannel solutions, retail media, digital payments, supply chain technologies and customer experience.

The event brought together retail sector representatives and entrepreneurs to discuss current developments and opportunities for cooperation. Chairman of the RNDU, Mr Araz Imanov, held discussions with the Ambassador and Embassy officials, focusing on sector development and collaboration with British partners, including engagement with the British Retail Consortium. The RNDU also exchanged views with business representatives on key challenges and potential areas for joint initiatives.

The Committee has been established to ensure more effective protection of consumer rights, align the quality and safety of products and services and the information provided to consumers with international standards, and strengthen cooperation between public authorities and civil society organisations in this field.

The Retail Networks Development Union, which participated in the 11th Joint Development Congress (11. Ortak Gelişim Kongresi), signed a Protocol of Intent with the Food Retailers Association of Türkiye (GPD) during the event.

Addressing the ceremony, Araz Imanov, Secretary General of the Retail Networks Development Union, highlighted the important role of the retail sector in the national economy. He noted that retail networks currently account for approximately 30–32 per cent of Azerbaijan’s retail market.
