A business meeting was held between the members of the Retail Networks Development Union and representatives of the Main Department of Tax Policy of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Within the framework of the meeting, practical tax and regulatory issues faced by entrepreneurs operating in the retail sector during their daily operations were discussed, and proposals formed across the sector were brought to the attention of the State Tax Service.
One of the main topics of discussion was the mechanisms for taxing spoiled and damaged products. In this context, proposals were presented on revising natural loss norms for food and non-food products, as well as forming more unified and practical regulatory mechanisms for cases of spoilage.
